New Year New Me

We started a weight loss challenge in our friend group beginning of January. It is so much easier to diet when the people you mostly eat/drink with also have to eat vegetables and make their bodies hurt.

I weighed in at 191.6 on January 9 and today I weighted in at 188.2! That’s 3.4 lbs lost so far!

Using Myfitnesspal has helped a LOT. I plug in all ingredients for the recipes I pull from Pinterest.

My BFF got me a 20lb Kettelbell for my birthday present. I LOVE it. It is amazing how much you can work with one weight. I’m officially addicted to them.

I do this  yoga video every morning to help me wake up, stretch out my muscles and just make me feel better. I LOVE the Tone It Up series of videos because most of them are on the beach, which is so calming to me versus in a studio. After work I come home and do another video of about 30 mins, shooting for higher intensity. I’ve been doing quite a bit of their videos lately:

Yoga in the morning.
Low Sugar Oatmeal for breakfast.
Protein Shake for snack.
Leftovers or soup for lunch.
Get home, workout.
Protein Shake post workout.
Prepare healthy dinner.

I altered this recipe for Sweet Potato BBQ Chicken Pizza from The Soccer Mom Blog to fit what I had on hand and what I like.

This was the BEST low cal chili adapted from Ambitious Kitchen. I pureed my cooked onions/peppers/tomatoes to make the sauce base. Misc spices were not counted (chili powder, cumin, onion powder, etc.)
